How to Use Liquid Level Sensors?

There are various things around us which although seems small and useless but they have a great importance in our life. We usually get to know the importance of such things when we need them badly. Liquid level sensors are also one of them. These sensors are mostly used in various industries but there are various others areas where you can use these sensors if you require checking the level of liquid.
Most of the people have listened about liquid level sensors but they do not know about their main purpose, usage and most importantly their working. In simple words, liquid levels are those types of sensors which are used mainly for two purposes. First, they detect the level of liquid present in any particular container or tank and second, they check the interfaces or ratios of any two liquids such as oil and water in any jar.
Sometimes, we need to separate two different liquids from each other or we need to add or remove fixed amount of liquid in any chemical or container. These liquid sensors help us in all these and other related situations.
The accuracy of results which we get by using these sensors depend on the price, appearance, quality, response rate, physical size, mounting and ease of calibration or programming of the instrument which we are using for this purpose.
The liquid level sensing technology is divided in to various types including

  •  Conductivity
  • Capacitance
  • Pressure
  • Load Cells
  •  Optical

If you are going to use these sensors for the first time then I am here to give you some tips so that you may know how to use them efficiently as a little mistake or error can affect the reading.Firstly, you should fix the instrument properly with the container or tank containing liquid. Secondly, you must stand still and focus on the instrument in order to note the reading. Thirdly, you must maintain a certain gap with container in case the liquid is dangerous. In order to get best results you must use the relevant tools properly.
